So many of us (myself included) have wrestled with the same question: “What is my purpose?”
The answer is simple. In fact it’s a command.
Love.
The answer is love.
One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ -Matthew 22:35-38
Love.
Everything God will ever call you to do, or do Himself, hangs on the basis of love.
Love drives us. Love unites us. Love is the basis of our salvation and ripples on to the salvation of those we love.
The HOW doesn’t matter.
You can spend thousands of dollars or you can spend time.
You can use your influence or you can use your wisdom.
How you love doesn’t matter. What matters is that you love.
That’s purpose. That’s meaning. That’s eternal.
And that’s a BIG deal!
