If you’re favored by God, guess what?
You’re favored by the enemy too. The devil. Satan. The deceiver. He goes by many names.
There is constant spiritual warfare over you.
God knows your value because he created you purposefully and intricately with attributes unique to only you.
The enemy sees your value and wants to control it.
Your part in this battle is crucial.
Will you cling to God and His righteous ways?
Or will you cling to the world and its deceitful ways?
A verse that pops up for me ALL 👏 THE 👏 TIME 👏 when I’m feeling torn, afraid, or less than faithful is this:
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” -Matthew 6:33
And when I meditate on this verse by repeating it, dissecting it, reading around it for context, and praying over it…
I regain the nearness I lost.
I regain the peace in hard times.
I regain the faith that God is sovereign and good even when it feels like everything is falling apart.
When we seek God, we shake the enemy.
And that’s the moment things stop falling apart… and start falling into place
